Life In Motion: Charcoal on Paper, 60cm x 84 cm (sizes vary)
A collection of drawings that look at movement of the human form over a set period of time.
Each drawing was created whilst studying a life model posed in a variety of positions over a short period of time. The model would pose in position for approximately twenty to thirty seconds before moving into a different position. This would take place a number of times so that the model had moved through a progressive sequence from a start to finishing position.
Whilst the model was posed the short amount of time was used to record the position on the paper. Each subsequent pose would be recorded over the previous until the whole range of movement was complete.
